About us
Transforming Higher Education through Adaptive Individual Academic Pathways and Competence-Based Interdisciplinary LearningGoal
The project aims to modernise Ukrainian higher education by introducing a scalable system of personalised and modular learning supported by digital infrastructure.
Tasks
- Develop a theoretical framework for implementing individual learning pathways in Ukrainian universities
The first step towards educational transformation is developing a scientifically validated theoretical foundation for moving from fixed training groups to an individual learning pathway system.
This will be achieved by analysing and synthesising European best practices in competence-based, personalised, and interdisciplinary learning.
Special attention will be given to integrating micro-credentials and student mobility elements into existing Ukrainian educational programmes.
- Build the capacity of academic and administrative staff for implementing personalised and interdisciplinary education
A successful transition to personalised learning requires the training of faculty, administrators, and support staff. The project will develop and deliver a professional development programme covering curriculum adaptation, academic advising, digital tools, and interdisciplinary education management.
- Define functional and technical requirements for adapting existing university management systems to support personalised learning
The project will not develop a new software system but will create detailed functional and technical specifications for modifying existing learning management systems (LMS), student information systems, and academic planning tools to accommodate individual learning pathways, micro-credential tracking, and interdisciplinary course selection.
- Pilot the implementation of individual learning pathways, interdisciplinary courses, and micro-credentials
Practical testing of the proposed models will be carried out in the final phase of the project. Personalised learning pathways, including interdisciplinary opportunities, will be tested in the consortium institutions. The effectiveness of the integration of micro-credentials, interdisciplinary courses and new academic policies will be evaluated.
Transforming Higher Education through Adaptive Individual Academic Pathways and Competence-Based Interdisciplinary Learning – EduFlex
The project aims to modernise Ukrainian higher education by introducing a scalable system of personalised and modular learning supported by digital infrastructure. EduFlex takes a student-centred approach, empowering students to create individual and interdisciplinary academic pathways in line with their career goals and labour market requirements.
By integrating micro-credentials, digital badges and mobility opportunities, the project promotes modular learning, enabling students to accumulate and transfer knowledge seamlessly across institutions and countries.
EduFlex will provide Ukrainian universities with the tools to meet the diverse needs of learners, particularly migrant students, people with disabilities and war veterans in need of retraining. By developing cooperation with European partners, the project will ensure the implementation of international standards and best practices.
The project is fully aligned with the principles and priorities of the European Learning Model, supports post-war reconstruction, promotes digital transformation and is in line with the Global Gateway strategy, contributing to the development of sustainable, inclusive and high-performing education systems and Ukraine's integration into the European education area.
The developed institutional policies and frameworks for individual learning pathways, interdisciplinary opportunities and micro-credentials will be used by Ukrainian universities outside the consortium and further underpin university operations.
